Reggae artiste Lutan Fyah is gearing up for the release of his 18th album, '7 Million Soldiers' this Summer.

"The album will delve into the socio-economic boundaries vs the social lifestyles we encounter as a people and a generation. The song brings out themes of consciousness and awareness of our struggles ranging from spirituality, racial politics, friendships, and love," Lutan Fyah said.

The artiste's album will be produced by Locke City Music. Some of the singles include the title track, 'Longest Liver', '7 Million Soldiers' and 'Meant To Be'.

He is also promoting his latest release, a separate single called 'State of Emergency', on the Old Capital Music label. The single will be officially released online in May.

"This song is a commentary on the situation in Montego Bay and Spanish Town which had been under a State of Emergency scenario for several months, and how this new police state has affected the minds and psyche of the people. We will be shooting a video for the project next week because we have been getting a lot of positive response from the fans," he said.

Earlier this year, Lutan Fyah scored a radio hit with the single, 'Fake Friends', which racked up over 485,000 views on YouTube. The single appears on the Ireland Records imprint.

He is booked to appear on a number of shows such as the Reggae Jam festival held in August in Bersenbruck, Germany , the Sunrise Reggae and Ska Festival in July in Burtenbach, Germany and the Summer Vibration Reggae festival held in Sélestat, in the northeast of France. He will also perform at the Afro-Pfingsten Festival in Switzerland.
